Start & End Point
KathmanduYou probably have been wondering why the Annapurna Circuit Trek has been so popular since the early 1970s in Nepal. Himalayan Hope Treks will give you the precise reason to see what the Annapurna Circuit trek truly offers.
The phenomenal sightings of Annapurna South, I, II, III, IV, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Khatung Kang, Gundang, Manaslu, Pisang, Lamjung, Tilicho, Fishtail, Sangang, and Nilgiri will always accompany you on this trek.
Additionally, the top class Annapurna Circuit trek will march you in-depth of 7269 square km of the Annapurna Conservation Area, the largest and widest in Nepal.
The incredible wildlife of the cool dark quiet forests and the high alpine meadows will always leave you in awe. Plus, our comprehensive Annapurna Circuit trek 14 days adventure will also show you the dynamic personalities of Gurungs, Thakalis, Chhetris, and Newars.
You will be amazed to see the two Hindu and Buddhist religions mutually coexisting together. However, the primary attraction of our Annapurna circuit trek lies in the crossing of the world’s highest hiking mountain pass of Thorong La rising to an immense elevation of 5416 m.
The trail of our Annapurna circuit trek itinerary will follow the Marshyangdi River leading you straight to Manang within five days. Then, you will head towards Thorong La Pass after which you will descend to Pokhara through Muktinath and Jomsom of Kali Gandaki Gorge, the deepest on the Earth.
Muktinath is one of the tallest and most holy Hindu and Buddhist temples famous for its ever-burning flame and 108 bull-shaped spouts.
Overall, the wilderness excursion of the Annapurna circuit has it all that makes it enjoyable to all levels of travelers and hikers.
The naturally gifted seasons with cool weather and pleasing views of Autumn/ Fall (September, October, November) and the blossoming Spring (March, April, May) will be very ideal for walking the path of the Annapurna Circuit trek.
Winter of December, January, and February will engulf the Thorong La Pass route with deep snow while the summer heat and heavy monsoon rain fill the Annapurna Circuit trek route with mud and leeches.
The Annapurna circuit trek 14 days adventure is a level III upper intermediate journey that stretches about 220 km with a maximum height of 5416 m.
The route to the Pass is certainly not technical but long and exhausting. The route around the tenth tallest peak features diverse terrain including deep dark jungles to alpine lands.
The walking duration of each day will be generally below 6 hours but on the pass day can reach up to 9 hours. However, with adequate physical training, even the trekking novices can attempt this journey with ease.
The Annapurna Circuit trek has an altitude challenge and so there is a major concern of AMS. However, a rest and acclimating plan in Manang that we have placed for you will help you well adapt before attempting the Pass.
If you feel headaches, sleep issues, swollen limbs, exhaustion, and nausea, rehydrate as much as you can with lemon and honey water. Rest and sleep where you are and use a Diamox tablet (you shouldn’t have any kidney conditions).
We suggest you improve your physical capability for long day treks and pass crossing with gradual aerobic workouts such as walking, swimming, cycling, running, sports like basketball and football, squats, pull-ups, push-ups, stair climbs, and squats.
A double bedroom of elite three-star hotels of Pokhara and Kathmandu will be your sleeping establishment during our Annapurna circuit trek 14 days trip. You will get early morning breakfasts on your stay.
On the trek, you will sleep in a homely mountain tea house’s double room where you will also get your daily lunches, breakfasts, and dinners.
A bus or public transport will be used for the Kathmandu Besisahar and Jomsom-Pokhara transfers while a tourist bus will ride you back to Kathmandu.
For a tiny added amount, we can also upgrade your travel via private transport and via short flights.
Travel insurance for the Annapurna circuit trek is obligatory and should support for your expenses for any helicopter rescues, and medical costs up to 5700 m. The time of your travel insurance should be active for the entire trek.
For all the treks in the Annapurna area including the Annapurna circuit trek, the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) and the Trekkers’ Information Management System (TIMS) cards are essential which Himalayan Hope Treks team will manage for you.
The Annapurna Circuit trek route goes around Annapurna I while the Annapurna Base Camp trek route goes straight to the base camp of Annapurna I.
We recommend you get the Nepal Telecommunication Network/ the NTC or Namaste.
The tea house will give you access to their WiFi and charging facilities at a tiny extra amount per hour.
The tenth day involving the ascent and descent from the Thorong La Pass will be the hardest for you.
Sure, tell us in advance and we can make your stay in Pokhara outstanding with fun actions.
